Gas Qualifications
LCL Awards’ gas qualifications and the accredited certification scheme support safe, compliant practice in domestic and non‑domestic premises. Developed with employers, trade bodies and technical experts, they reflect current standards across the range of gas utilisation sectors, providing qualifications, certification and training programmes for new entrants, experienced engineers, technical managers, supervisors and advisors.
Our portfolio spans regulated RQF qualifications and UKAS‑accredited ACS certification (a required certificate of gas safety competence for engineers seeking to become and continued to be registered with Gas Safe Register.
LCL Awards provide a number of short gas courses addressing specific gas safety and compliance needs.
For new entrants, the LCL Awards Managed Learning Programme (MLP) is recognised by IGEM which provides a structured training route to ACS assessment and, upon successful completion of ACS, the eligibility to apply for Gas Safe registration.
For those supervising or managing gas work, RQF options at Level 3 and Level 4 support auditing and gas safety management in social housing, catering and non‑domestic environments.
LCL Awards also award gas safety awareness qualifications at Level 2 for staff working in social housing and residential premises.
Approved Centres benefit from LCL Awards providing clear qualification delivery specifications, training support materials, ongoing technical support and advice and a responsive quality assurance programme.
We work closely with Centres to ensure compliant delivery and assessment, providing guidance and resources from initial Centre approval, learner registration through to learner certification.
