Testimonials
LCL Awards offers a suite of training courses that suits our business, so they were a natural choice. We want to be the best and therefore wanted to offer our candidates the best qualifications.
I think The Inclusivity Charter represents an excellent use of LCL Awards’ influence in the sector. As an Awarding Organisation, the company is in the perfect position to reach a wide group of people and encourage them to join our industry.
When it came to certification, we were looking for an accreditation body that would set high standards and provide us with a ‘robust’ technical support team. We were also looking for an organisation that was approachable during challenging times. The support LCL Awards gave us through COVID was second to none.
LCL has a very clear approach, and they work quickly and compliantly. The qualifications they offer are at the forefront, meeting the requirements of the next gen workforce. We want new learners and existing engineers to have the best possible experience when training with USG - and LCL Awards helps us to do this.
I've been on lots of auditing courses in the past but this one has given me a wider perspective. The structure and scope of the course encourages you to look at an audit from more than one viewpoint and encourages a positive, practical approach to problem solving.
The e-portfolio works really well for us. Because our learners are ex-service personnel, spread around the country, the fact that they - and we - can access information from anywhere is a great bonus.
LCL Awards was our Awarding Body of choice. They’ve a great reputation in renewables and because they’re more agile than some of the other ABs they’re quicker to react in revising their qualifications to keep on top of updates etc. I’ve taken my own LCL Awards qualifications in the past, so I know they’re good!
I want to do what I do well, and LCL Awards offer a very efficient package. The courses are great, and I like the fact that they cut paperwork to a minimum. The online assessment system is clean and straight-forward for the candidates and let’s face it far less of a headache for me!
We like working with LCL Awards because they have very high standards, and their qualifications are recognised and respected across the industry.
Their administration staff are fabulous. Last week, for instance, we had a cohort of learners who took their gas assessments. We sent the paperwork off to LCL the next day and it was back within a week. If I had to sum up LCL Awards in a couple of words, I’d say they offer Service with a smile!
LCL Awards are very approachable and switched-on. Far more so than other certification bodies I’ve worked with in the past. They provide us with excellent back-room support and help us get out learners trained and set up for work with their accreditation, in as timely a manner as possible.
There aren't many women heating engineers – especially in the Highlands - and I'm pleased to be doing something useful. There's such a shortage of qualified engineers in the industry so it makes real sense to be working in a field where I can make a difference.
We are very happy with how the Ecordia software performs for us. The key benefit is that it allows us to spread centre resources and allocate the time required to the Assessor or Internal Verifier. For us it’s a very useful tool
LCL Awards treat me like I like to treat my learners. If I've a question or a problem, they will help me sort it out. The support they've given me in setting up the MLP has been second to none. Neill Ovenden is a diamond!
I think it would be fair to say that LCL has been responsible for cultural changes over the years that have influenced the other CBs. They are progressive and because they’re agile they’re able to respond quickly to changes within industry. In the past they’ve helped us develop small-scale niche qualifications for some of our commercial customers. There’s no way that most of the other Certification Bodies would even think of doing that!
When it comes to training LCL Awards was the natural choice for us as they offer a modular approach to heat pump training, meaning that a candidate can come on an Air Source Heat Pump course initially and then come back if they decide they want to learn how to install Ground Source Heat Pumps. No other Awarding Organisation offers this.
The Ecordia software that LCL Awards uses is very reliable and has been designed to be flexible. We encourage customers to build upon it - to tailor it to their own specific needs.
LCL Awards is an innovator in the Construction Training Sector and we always keep our eye on the courses they develop. Many of their qualifications are geared towards people from industry, which suits our primary market, but they also cater for new entrants such as college leavers - or the vast untapped market of older people looking to change career. For us, working with LCL Awards is a great partnership.
We've found LCL Awards to be incredibly approachable and responsive... It's been a breath of fresh air to work with an organisation that's so helpful and flexible, as well as being so professional and quality focussed. I can't fault them.
Aldershot College was determined to improve the quality of its gas training and decided to run LCL Awards Managed Learning Programme and ACS qualifications to back their new facilities up with high-quality qualifications and high-quality support.
