General Information
Background and Prerequisites
This OFTEC assessment is designed to test the competence of an operative in the commissioning and servicing of commercial non-modulating multi-stage oil and bio-liquid fuelled pressure-jet burners connected to space and/or water heaters
For the initial assessment candidates must meet the entry requirements as laid out by OFTEC for Category 1, 2, and 3 entrants. Further information on this can be found in the Handbook for Learners and Centres
For re-assessment candidates must have held the element previously - if this has expired within 12 months of the assessment date the initial assessment must be undertaken.

Centres delivering the OFTEC OFT10-201 certification assessment must be approved by LCL Awards and have assessors with relevant industry experience and appropriate assessing experience and or qualifications.
Assessment involves a combination of multiple-choice questions, short written responses, scenario-based exercises, and observed practical tasks.
Centres must adhere to the requirements of the LCL Awards' Approved Centre Quality Management System and the Centre Agreement in delivering the certification’s examinations and assessments.
