What is involved in delivering this qualification?
To deliver the Level 4 Certificate in Gas Safety Management in Social Housing, a training centre must be approved by LCL Awards and demonstrate that it meets their delivery and quality assurance standards.
Centres must have qualified teachers and assessors with relevant industry experience in gas safety management and legislation, as well as appropriate teaching and assessing credentials.
Since this qualification is aimed at managers and supervisors rather than practising gas engineers, centres do not need full workshop facilities. Instead, they must provide suitable classroom or online learning environments supported by up-to-date resources, including the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR), RIDDOR, GIUSP, and relevant industry codes of practice.
Assessment involves a combination of multiple response questions and short response questions, which are set and marked by LCL Awards.
