Background |
The course is aimed at installers of domestic heating and hot water systems in dwellings who may not have undertaken any formal learning in designing heating and hot water systems and wish to improve their knowledge of the subject. The course provides learners an appropriate level of knowledge which will enable them to design and specify domestic heating and hot water systems for dwellings accurately and in accordance with best practice and compliance with the relevant Building Regulations, Standards and the CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide. Learners undertaking the course. The course may serve as a progression route for learners who wish to progress to the LCL Awards Level 3 Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings. It may also be used for learners undertaking an LCL Awards Managed Learning Program (MLP) which includes central heating and hot water systems, leading to ACS assessments CCN1 and CENWAT. |

The course is aimed at individuals who have sufficient knowledge and or experience of installing and or specifying the installation of hot water and heating systems in dwellings that will enable them to meet the demands of the learning outcomes |
