This June we have an exciting schedule of events for our approved centres. LCL Awards “The Forum” will take place on 27th June, following our prestigious Awards ceremony the evening prior. Both events are taking place under one roof at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham and what’s more - this venue is right next to the Birmingham NEC where the InstallerSHOW is taking place on 24th to 26th June.
What a line up!
Those attending the LCL Awards and Annual Forum can benefit from a preferential hotel booking rate at the Hilton. Discounted rooms are limited, so book yours now to avoid disappointment. Those staying at the hotel will also benefit from a reduced parking fee of £11 a day in the hotel car park.

Have you registered?
In order to guarantee the venue can accommodate everyone’s needs and provide sufficient catering, we need to know you're coming! Approved Centres must register online for the Annual Forum. During the booking process you will also select the breakout sessions you wish to attend - there’s lots of interesting topics on the agenda - so get yourself signed up for the Annual Forum here.
Places are initially limited to two per approved centre. We’ll have a reserve list ready, and allocate additional places if available, after the registration closes on 30th May 2025.
If you have any general comments or questions that you’d like covered during the Forum you can submit them when you register.
What’s on at the Forum?
The day event is offering a great programme of interesting and useful breakout sessions delivered by LCL staff and guests.
SESSION 1:

ACS updates and changes - How changes to standards and criteria will impact ACS assessments next year.

Plumbing & RPZ updates - Following the launch of our new RPZ course, this session provides an overview of this course and updates to the plumbing sector.

Electrical Qualifications update – With the launch of our new Experienced Worker Qualification, this session provides an overview of this qualification, and updates to the electrical sector.
SESSION 2:

MLP updates & FAQ – How changes to standards and criteria will impact changes to the MLP. We will also hope to provide an overview of IGEM/IG/1 Supplement 1 (non-domestic).

Preparing for an audit – What a centre should expect to prepare for an audit, the documents we may request and how this helps the audit process.

Electronic ways of working - LCL Awards roadmap – Looking forward to developments within LCL Awards that will help centres to remove some of the paperwork burden.
SESSION 3:

Marketing – PR and digital marketing experts, Jello PR and JL Creative Ltd, will be hosting a session about how to use search data to identify opportunities and promote your business.

Internal audit: what is it and how should it work? – This session will help centres to understand who can complete the internal audit, what they need to do, and the processes to follow once it has been completed.

RQF application process and RPL – This session will look at the initial assessment of learners, and how to correctly implement Recognition of Prior Learning.
Please note - there is a two week cancellation notice and we reserve the right to charge £50 per attendee to cover incurred venue costs, with no-shows or late cancellations. By registering, you acknowledge and accept this charge - we appreciate your understanding.
