Digital strategy session at the LCL Awards forum

13 Jun 2023

Laptop with labelsAt this year’s forum, Jess Lowe from Jello PR – which looks after LCL Awards’ PR and marketing, will be joined by digital marketing expert, Jonny Lawrence (from JL Creative). The pair will be delivering an extremely useful session for centres looking to get to grips with making the most out of their online presence.

JL Creative is the digital driving force behind a number of successful training centres, and as such has some very targeted advice for Forum attendees. Since our last ‘live’ event, the online marketing world has moved on apace and there is now so much more that savvy centres can get involved with.

The strategy session will cover key digital marketing principles that centres can relatively easily implement in-house, including:

  • Getting the most out of Google My Business – according to a recent study, a business with a GMB page receives 42% more online visibility, 35% more reviews and 15% more leads compared with a business without one.
  • The importance of online reviews and how to achieve them – genuine client testimonials are becoming more important than ever, countering the increase in AI generated and unverified reviews.
  • Video content – why you need videos on your website and social media and advice on how centres can do this themselves. Videos generate 1,200% more shares than text and image posts combined!
  • Email automation and database creation – the best place to reach your customers, with the highest conversion rate.
  • Consistent content that represents your brand – overview of the types of content you could be sharing and tips for creating it.
  • How well does your website work for your business? – tips for being analytical about your own website.

The session promises to be an extremely useful one, that will give centres key takeaways that they can implement themselves. Jello and JL Creative are available to support centres independently, with some activity covered by LCL Awards (mutually beneficial case study creation, for example).
