Replacement certificates
LCL Awards will only consider a request for a replacement certificate from the person named on the original certificate.
The original certificate must be valid, has not been revoked, reduced in scope or has conditions attached to it by LCL Awards.
Where LCL Awards issues a replacement certificate it will be clearly identified as such by ‘Replacement’ being prominently displayed on the certificate.
LCL Awards will normally issue a replacement certificate within 2 working days of receipt of the application and payment of fees.
Where the applicant fails to provide the required information, LCL Awards will decline the application.
Regulated Qualifications
LCL Awards may issue a replacement certificate where the original certificate has been lost, stolen, misplaced, defaced or accidentally destroyed.
ACS, Oftec and LCL Awards Certificates
In addition to the reasons for issuing a replacement certificate for Regulated Qualifications, LCL Awards will issue a replacement certificate when notified that the holder has changed their name by either enrolled or unenrolled deed poll.
Application process
When requesting a replacement certificate or certification data, holders of the original certificate will be required to provide evidence of their identity by supplying a passport quality photograph along with their personal details.
To obtain a replacement certificate or certification data (see below for examples), the certificate holder must put their request in writing to LCL Awards using the link below, confirming their personal details and the reasons for the request.
Where the request being made is for certification data only, we will normally provide the data by email, therefore a current email address will need to be provided.
Where the request is for a replacement certificate due to change of name by deed poll, a copy of the deed poll must be provided in accordance with the published information and requirements of each of the devolved UK Governments.
There is an administration charge of £50.00 inclusive of VAT for each replacement certificate issued and £30.00 inclusive of VAT for the provision of certification data. Payment may be made by either BACS or credit/debit card.
Once we have received the completed application form we will contact you on the telephone number provided to confirm your request is being processed. Where payment is made by BACS the request will be processed once the payment has been confirmed or where the payment is made by credit/debit card the request will be processed once payment has been confirmed by the card issuer. In all cases requests will be dealt with promptly and within 2 working days of the receiving the request and payment.
Replacement certificates are issued subject to the conditions as published in the Handbook for Learners and Centres and will indicate the date of issue and that they are a replacement.
Where a replacement certificate is being requested due to the original not being received, it will only be issued free of charge if LCL Awards are notified within 3 calendar months of the original dispatch date.
