LCL Awards Forum 2025

The LCL Awards 2025 Forum is taking place at the Hilton Metropole near Birmingham NEC on the 27 th June,
the day after the InstallerSHOW, giving guests the chance to attend both events.

Both the awards ceremony (26 th June) and the Forum are taking place in the same venue.

Forum schedule

9am: Head to the Pavillion Suite

9.30am: Opening address from Mark Krull

Mid-morning coffee & tea break

11 – 12: SESSION 1 – delegates choose from one of the following sessions:

  • ACS updates and changes - How changes to standards and criteria will impact ACS assessments next
    year.
  • Plumbing & RPZ updates - Following the launch of our new RPZ course, this session provides an
    overview of this course and updates to the plumbing sector.
  • Electrical Qualifications update – With the launch of our new Experienced Worker Qualification, this
    session provides an overview of this qualification, and updates to the electrical sector.

Lunch break, 12.15 – 13.15

13.30 – 14.15: SESSION 2 – delegates choose from one of the following sessions:

  • MLP updates & FAQ – How changes to standards and criteria will impact changes to the MLP. We will also hope to provide an overview of IGEM/IG/1 Supplement 1 (non-domestic).
  • Preparing for an audit – What a centre should expect to prepare for an audit, the documents we may
    request and how this helps the audit process.
  • Electronic ways of working - LCL Awards roadmap – Looking forward to developments within LCL
    Awards that will help centres to remove some of the paperwork burden.

14.30 – 15.15: SESSION 3 – delegates choose from one of the following sessions:

  • Marketing – PR and digital marketing experts, Jello PR and JL Creative Ltd, will be hosting a session
    about how to use search data to identify opportunities and promote your business.
  • Internal audit: what is it and how should it work? – This session will help centres to understand who
    can complete the internal audit, what they need to do, and the processes to follow once it has been
    completed.
  • RQF application process and RPL – This session will look at the initial assessment of learners, and
    how to correctly implement Recognition of Prior Learning.

15.30 – 16.00 – Tea, coffee and cake in the Pavillion Suite
