LCL Awards Covid 19 Update
LCL Awards Covid-19 Update
Updated 18th February 2022
By following UK Government requirements and guidance in controlling the spread of Covid along with the success of the vaccination programme LCL Awards and all of its network of approved centres are now operating to the new normal with a minimum of disruption to learners and candidates.
What this new normal looks like in each centre may differ depending on the types of qualifications and courses being delivered along with the size and type of building and facilities where training and assessments are carried out. This could mean any or all of the following control measures may remain in place while Covid remains a threat;
- Requiring social distancing
- Requiring or recommending the use of face coverings
- Taking visitors temperature
- Taking a coronavirus test
- Making available hot water and or sanitizing gel in and around the centre
- Ensuring prominent signage is posted around the centre
- Reduced numbers of candidates and learners allowed in the centre at any one time
- Implementing enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms, equipment and workshops
- Staggering start and finish times for different courses
- Other measures as appropriate
All of the control measures that remain in place at centres are there to protect both staff and visitors to the centre, candidates and learners should contact their local LCL Awards centre directly to discuss any concerns or specific control measures that may be in place.
LCL Awards and centres will continue to be vigilant and comply with any UK Government requirements and guidance should the current situation change.
Note: you can undertake your ACS and or OFTEC assessments up to 6 months in advance without losing any unexpired certification duration.
